What Our Team Members Say
“I have worked for Ascendo for almost three years and have loved every minute. Amazing culture, work, ethics, and growing, growing, growing! They also helped me find my new opportunity, so thank you very much!”
“My experience at Ascendo Resources was the best I could have imagined. They were extremely personable, which put me at ease at our very first meeting. They looked at my resume and exuded confidence that my skills and experience would get me a job soon. In fact, I had an interview scheduled right away and they even provided me helpful tips for that interview. They stayed in touch and kept me updated about that job possibility. A former co-worker, currently working in New York City gave them my name. They called me that same day and I now have a job!”
“I like working here because I basically can do what I need to do to make money. It’s kind of like, the sky’s the limit with regards to deals and business. We have an open approach to how we can get new clients, which is awesome! You’re pretty much running your own business. Nobody bugs you.”
“During my 5 and a half years with Ascendo, I have experienced personal and professional growth. I have improved my time management and communication skills. I am now a better communicator and I use my time more efficiently.”
“I’ve been a recruiter for close to 20 years and it’s been amazing. I joined Ascendo almost eight years ago on September of 2013 and I never looked back. My first interview was with the Partners and they were just awesome. I took the job mainly because of the people, it felt like a family environment.”
“I’m new to recruiting, but Ascendo provided me with the resources I needed to be successful. I am now spearheading the financial services division here in Tampa.”
“Ascendo hires individuals from all different backgrounds in order to really be a well-rounded agency. We have expertise in almost every field which helps us find the best fit for both candidates and clients. The recruiters who do work here, I can say really, really care about everyone’s wellbeing and career. It’s not just a numbers game. There is an emotional aspect to what we do here.”
“Ascendo’s culture is fun, competitive, fulfilling, cooperative, and free. I feel like Ascendo is a great environment for somebody that just wants to produce and kind of be free of all the little things that get in the way of business. It’s really allowed me to be myself, produce, work with my clients and candidates, staff and make a lot of money.”
“I like the fact that I have a lot of autonomy to lead the team in the direction that I think makes sense for my market. I like that they push the entrepreneurial spirit within the organization. I like the comradery that we’ve built with my local team in Orlando, as well as the relationships we’ve built with other offices.”
“I truly love coming into work every day. Our office is unique in that we all really do truly get along. We look out for each other; we love working with each other and we have a great culture. At Ascendo you can take a day off, go on vacation, or leave early as long as you are hitting your numbers. Sometimes you have to work hard and work longer hours, but you definitely have flexibility.”
“I would describe Ascendo’s culture as Competitive, Celebratory, and Appreciative. We are encouraged to produce and compete with other offices in a friendly way. We celebrate holidays, birthdays, and other special days. We also get rewarded for our achievements and milestones. I like the lack of micromanagement here at Ascendo. You can work from home, you can work remotely, or you can work in the office. Basically, if you perform well, you can enjoy a good work-life balance.”
“Having the industry knowledge is key to being a recruiter. To be successful, interpersonal skills are also very important as well as the ability to building long-lasting relationships.”
“I’ve grown from being a brand-new recruiter, to senior recruiter, to managing director, to being the top producer within the whole company. Ascendo has given me the ability to grow in my career pretty rapidly. I’ve been fortunate enough to have gone on every superior circle trip which is for all the top producers in the company, so that’s been amazing. This trip is something I look forward to every year and it gives me something to strive towards.”
“Within two years, I was promoted to managing director and as of last year I was given a piece of equity into the company to reward me for my growth at the company. I joined Ascendo with truly no experience in recruitment and sales and I learned by being surrounded by professionals in this space. I have built comfort and confidence in my ability to vet candidates, to quantify and qualify them, and to build longstanding business relationships.”
“I’ve worked with different staffing firms and this is by far the best because you have great leadership, you have your resources and your tools when you need them, they don’t babysit you, they let you run on your own and they’re there when you need help.”
“I love working for a Ascendo because it’s like having my own business at my desk. We have protocols to follow, but everybody’s selling in their own way and recruiting in their own way. I really like the atmosphere; it’s like something I’ve never experienced before. Our company culture is like a family environment. Everybody helps each other. The support is always there.”
“First and foremost, I would say the management team, especially my Regional Manager, Peter Soto, has been a huge asset to the growth and development of my office. He has been very supportive, definitely someone you can pick up the phone and call for guidance. The partners have also allowed us to utilize resources that I didn’t have in my previous companies, which has been huge in terms of generating new clients.”
“The main reason I joined Ascendo is that I thought it was a good opportunity because we have a fair amount of autonomy. I essentially make my own schedule after I hit my numbers and that flexibility is very important when accepting a new job. I was sold on it as soon as I heard we could do that.”
“If you really want to make money in recruiting and you have the entrepreneurial spirit, Ascendo is a great way to jump into the market. They will give you the tools and the functionality to be very successful and make a lot of money.”
“I look at the structure and the culture of Ascendo as a whole and It’s not just one type of face or background that I’m looking at. I think that they do a very good job trying to create diversity by hiring people from different cultural and racial backgrounds, gender and age groups. The current structure of our team here in Atlanta is a lot of fun. I truly enjoy my job. I like the people that I work with; it’s more of a family feel than just a stuffy, corporate staff.”
